There are many different strategies that help you structure a good search. Some of these are:

• learn which engines and directories provide different types of materical
• target engines in one subject
• tap into URLs that have their own databases and indicies
• use several engines and directories

Today I learnt in both the lecture and the tute how to use various search engines, tips for searching and also some strategies to use when searching. We learnt that it is important to use several different engines and directories, read the information or tips for the search and most importantly to know what you're searching for. The information that we learnt today I know will help me when I am trying to locate information for my further studies, assignments and essays.
